This website is a forum for fans of the hit TV show "The Unit" on CBS TV. Many fans from all walks of life, different countries and ages will hopefully enjoy this forum. It was created to give us all a place to discuss the many aspects of our favorite show in a friendly community. Please remember that before you post. All posts will be moderated. Any post that is considered offensive, contains profane or sexual matter will be deleted. If you break any of the rules, your post will be locked or deleted and you may risk being banned from these forums. If you feel that a post or if a poster is offensive or breaks any rules, please email the Administrator at admin (at) theunithq.com. Offenders will be banished from the community. ALL CAPS, CUSSING Did you know that TALKING IN ALL CAPS online indicates that you are shouting? It's a very aggressive way to post and it doesn't come off as being very friendly. Moderators can (and will) delete any topics or posts that use ALL CAPS. Feel free to use the bold and underline functions to make your point. We can be very outspoken about this show. Let 'er rip! But please don't use the ALL CAPS and watch those cuss words. Would ya cuss out Col. Ryan? I don't think so. SPAM We're not talking about the strange looking food in a can that grunts get in the field. We're talking about the annoying online behavior that creates a lot of unwanted static in message boards. Spam, for those of you who don't know, can be described as this: the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unneeded messages on forums. You may think it only applies to junk mail or ads, but it also applies to the unnecessary posts that don't contribute any useful information to a topic. Simple rule: don't do it. Ever. The Administrator can (and will) delete any topics or posts that are considered spam. ACTOR, PRODUCTION and USER BASHING It's one thing to be a little critical of performances, but actors and production staff are people too. Whether you think their performances were good or bad, you didn't like the way the show was edited, whatever, feel free to talk about it. But please do so as if you were talking to the actor or crew member face to face. We need to treat these artists (scripted or reality) the way you'd treat any other user on the boards. The Administrator will delete any messages that are considered flames to actors or production or other users. Bashing is not allowed in any way shape or form. Besides, you never know who is reading the posts around here. PRIVACY ISSUES Please remember that the actors' personal lives are not up for discussion on these boards. This is a fan board to discuss a television show. Any aspect of the show can be discussed, including the on-air talent in the context of the show. Many of the actors choose to keep their personal lives low-key and we respect their privacy. The Administrator will delete or edit any messages that are perceived to cross the line. TROLLS A troll is a person who enters an established forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, most often in the form of posting inflammatory, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate messages. If you're a newbie and you want to establish yourself as a regular poster, please read the conversations and post relevant questions or posts in response. Introduce yourself when you first join a new forum to let people know you're new and interested in joining the community. A little friendliness goes a long way. COPYRIGHT MATERIAL There's a very good reason people pay the fee to copyright their original work. It protects your work under the law. The copyright symbol to a writer is like having The Unit protect you. You don't mess with it. All of the interviews posted on theis website are copyrighted. Using any part of or all of them is an infrigement on the writer's copyright. Anyone who copies any part of or all of any interview will be dealt with under the law. And then writer will call The President to dispatch The Unit for ya. If you need any assistance or have any questions, please feel free to email the Administrator at admin (at) theunithq.com. Off we go! |
